Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in El Calafate, Argentina
Our adventure begins in the vibrant city of El Calafate, Argentina, where you'll arrive on your selected flight. After landing, you'll make your way to your hotel in the city center to check in and settle in. Enjoy some free time to relax before we gather as a group in the evening for a mouthwatering Cordero Patagonico dinner. This iconic dish, featuring parilla-roasted Patagonian lamb, is sure to delight your taste buds! During the meal, you'll have the chance to meet your fellow travelers while your photography guide gives an overview of the exciting itinerary ahead. After a memorable evening, we'll retire for the night at the hotel.
Day 2: Perito Moreno Glacier
On day two, we’ll start early with breakfast before embarking on our journey to the stunning Perito Moreno Glacier. Throughout the day, we’ll capture the mesmerizing blue ice sparkling in the sunlight, exploring the Patagonian forest as we search for the perfect compositions, with the vibrant autumn foliage framing the glacier in the background. After a day filled with photography and adventure, we’ll return to El Calafate for the evening.
Day 3: El Chalten
After an early breakfast, we'll embark on a 3-hour journey to El Chaltén, a charming village in Argentina. We'll settle into this picturesque spot for the next two nights. In the evening, we’ll head out for a sunset photography session at a nearby canyon, where vibrant vegetation meets the flowing waters of the Fitz Roy River, winding its way toward the snow-capped peaks of the Andes. As the sun sets, expect to witness a stunning display of colors in the sky, painting the clouds above in breathtaking hues.
Day 4: Fitz Roy
On day four, we’ll return to the Fitz Roy River for another stunning sunrise shoot. The Fitz Roy massif, bathed in the soft glow of alpenglow, takes on dramatic red hues as the first light hits its rugged peaks. Our day will be spent exploring the Lago Desierto region, where we'll chase waterfalls and refine our long exposure photography techniques. In the evening, we’ll capture the sunset from a nearby viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape with the iconic Fitz Roy peaks in the distance.
Day 5-7: Torres Del Paine National Park
Our exploration of Torres del Paine National Park continues as we venture to a variety of stunning and diverse locations. With our deep knowledge of the area, we’ll choose the best photography spots each day, tailored to the weather conditions. Some of the highlights include:
- Pehoe Lake's Harbors: Stony bays and unique foregrounds provide plenty of photographic opportunities, with the lake’s crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding peaks.
- A Hike to Nordenskjold Lake: This scenic walk takes us through an enchanting dead forest, leading us to small, tranquil bays perfect for capturing the landscape.
- Salto Grande Waterfall: One of the park's most impressive natural features, this powerful waterfall is a must-see and a fantastic subject for dramatic photos.
- Laguna Amarga: Known for its salty shores, this spot is a great place to photograph pink flamingos feeding in the waters, adding a splash of color to your shots.
- Laguna Azul: A serene blue lagoon surrounded by stunning scenery, with a beautiful waterfall along the way to the lake.
- Rio Serrano Sector: Here, we’ll capture the winding river, local gauchos on horseback, and the rugged Patagonian landscape, creating powerful, timeless images.
Each of these carefully selected locations offers a rich and diverse photographic experience, allowing us to capture the true essence of Torres del Paine’s dramatic natural beauty.
Day 8
We will continue to explore Torres del Paine in the morning. After lunch, we will be making our way back to Punta Arenas to make it easier for our group to catch our flights home for the next day.
Day 9: Departure Day
This will be the final day of our Patagonian adventure. After breakfast, you'll catch a complimentary shuttle bus to Punta Arenas airport for your departure flight home or onwards to your next destination.
